Chrissy Teigen responds to backlash after travelling to Washington for Joe Biden’s inauguration

Chrissy Teigen has responded to backlash on social media, after travelling to Washington D.C. for Joe Biden’s inauguration.

The 35-year-old jetted to the capital on Tuesday to support her husband John Legend, who will perform at the event later today.

However, Chrissy’s decision to travel during the coronavirus pandemic has sparked criticism on social media.

On Tuesday, a Twitter user questioned why John’s “whole family” is able to attend the inauguration “when literally no one can move about the city.”

Responding to their comment, Chrissy clapped back: “For f***s sake why are you guys always always mad at me, all I wanna do is make you happy or at least leave you with a neutral feeling of indifference.”

When the same Twitter user said DC residents “aren’t very happy” about current restrictions, the mother-of-two replied: “This is not my fault but I’m sorry you’re frustrated. I just like to share what we are up to and whatnot.”

The backlash hasn’t deterred Chrissy from sharing more photos and videos from their trip.

Last night, the TV personality shared a photo of her and John posing with some National Guard troops.

She captioned the post: “lmao we got lost on the way to soundcheck but I just got to meet these f**king actual heroes.”
