Kevin The Carrot returns for star role in Aldi Christmas Advert – and this time he’s looking for love

He's back!

Kevin the carrot stole the hearts of Irish families everywhere last December when Aldi released the carrot as the star of their Christmas campaign, and this year’s advert sees the gallant little carrot return for even more adventures with the supermarket.

The diminutive hero finally finds the carrot of his dreams in the new 60 second TV campaign, which will air during Emmerdale on TV3 and EastEnders on RTE1 for the first time on Tuesday 7th November.

The advert opens with Kevin rumbling along a train discovering that it  isn’t just any train, but a luxurious sleeper complete with a dining car brimming with Aldi’s amazing Christmas feast.

The advert also takes on a romantic subplot when Kevin spots Katie, a beautiful red carrot who he falls in love with immediately.

This year’s Aldi advert is full of suspense, murder, romance and which cuts a close comparison to themes of some of Hollywood’s most recently released blockbusters that viewers will pick upon.

The sell-out Plush Kevin The Carrot soft toy will also be returning, joined of course by Plush Katie The Carrot.

The toys launch in stores from 23rd November for €3.99 in support of Aldi’s charity partner, Food Cloud.
