Watch: The Top 7 Irish auditions of all time on the X Factor

It’s that time of year again, our weekends are about to become X Factor obsessed. In to celebrate the show’s return this weekend, we’ve listed the Top 7 Irish auditions of all time.

Take a look!

1. Jedward

Love them or hate them you have to admit Jedward did a fairly amazing first audition.

They turned that room right around with their infectious attitude in 2009

2. Niall Horan

The moment that would change his life forever.

Scruffy haired Mullingar man Niall Horan captivated the judges with his audition, which eventually led to Simon Cowell putting him into One Direction.

3. Mary Byrne

Good ole Mary Byrne, we miss her!

From the tills of Tesco to the X Factor arena, Mary made the whole room stand still with her audition in 2010.

4. Janet Devlin

The strange voice of Janet Devlin really stood out during her series.

The Irish singer had a very unique style which won over the judges.

5. Melanie McCabe

She’s auditioned for the show three times now, but it’s Melanie’s last audition that we love from 2012.

6. Eoghan Quig

Poor Eoghan Quig, no one has really heard of him since, although he did audition for Louis Walsh’s new boyband Hometown.

7. Rebecca Creighton

Last but not least Dublin hair dresser Rebecca Creighton blew the judges away back in 2010.

Katy Perry was guest judging and took a special liking to the singer, who went on to join X Factor girlband Belle Amie.
