WATCH! The Edge performs in the Sistine Chapel

The Edge performed in the Sistine Chapel over the weekend, making him the first ever contemporary artist to perform at the Vatican.

The musician was joined by a seven person choir made up of students from the Terence MacSwiney Community College in Hollyhill, Co. Cork on Saturday night.

The performance was a part of Cellular Horizons, a conference on regenerative medicine taking place at the Vatican.

The group performed a rendition of Leonard Cohen’s If It Be Your Will, as well as versions of U2 songs Yahweh, Ordinary Love and Walk On, with The Edge playing acoustic guitar and providing vocals.

Speaking on behalf of the Terence MacSwiney Secondary School which is proud to participate in the Music Generation Scheme, Principal Phil O’ Flynn said, “The school is very grateful to Music Generation and The Edge for the opportunity to participate in this event and for nurturing their talent.”
