Tom Vaughan Lawlor has told of his weird fan experiences since playing Nidge – including when he was recently on holidays.
He said:Â “I was on holiday in the Canary Islands with my family recently and an Irish family stopped us and we were getting photos and they were very excited.
“But all these Dutch and German tourists stopped and went, ‘Who is he?’ So it was all very strange.”
And the Love/Hate star admitted people are also shocked by his posh accent.
He said: “I get a lot of second takes, a lot of people going, ‘Are you sure that you’re that guy?'”
