WATCH! John Cleese says Pierce Brosnan was the best Bond since Sean Connery

Legendary Faulty Towers actor John Cleese has revealed Pierce Brosnan was his favourite James Bond star since Sean Connery.

The Monty Python star worked with the Navan native on 007 films The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

Although full of praise for the 62-year-old actor, John didn’t have so many kind words for current James Bond star Daniel Craig – insisting he’s too short for the role.

“I thought he was a wonderful Bond,” he said on Australian TV’s The Morning Show.

“I thought he was the best Bond since Connery (Sean Connery) because this little Welsh bandy-legged guy they’ve got at the moment, he is simply not tall enough sorry and he certainly didn’t go to Eton.

When asked if he wasn’t a fan of Daniel Craig’s portrayal, he answered: “No, his legs are too short.”
