Hozier is proving to be the most humble singer in the industry after he gave J1 students free guest list passes to his sold-out Chicago gig.
UCC student Ian Flynn revealed he got more then he bargained for when he bumped into the Wicklow man at venue when he went to see the concert set-up earlier in the day.
“I went to Millennium Park, where the concert was held, this morning before work to see the stage and set up because unfortunately I had not gotten a ticket as the gig sold out quickly,” he said.

“However, I got more than I bargained for and ended up running into the man himself, told him we were out on a J1 and we loved his music, but couldn’t get hold of tickets and he said ‘don’t worry about it’, then took out his phone and got us all guest list passes to see the show tonight,
“Literally the nicest, most down to earth man I’ve ever met. I don’t think we were the only ones he gave tickets to today either,” he told Joe.ie.
Taking to Instagram, the J1 student to post a pic of the pair writting: “Met Hozier a while ago! Talked to him for ages and he even put me on guestlist for the concert tonight! May as well go home now cos today can’t be topped haha #ideal #hozier”.
