First listen: Chris Leonard proves why he's the ONLY Irish singer to make X Factor live shows

Chris Leonard proves why he is the only Irish singer to make it through to the X Factor live stages.

The 18-year-old has been tipped to become the new Niall Horan from this year’s show – after being slotted into the ‘new One Direction’.

And Chris – who used to be a member of Dublin boyband 5th Base – shows he has the singing ability to make it all the way in our exclusive video clip.

Previously Goss.ie revealed he was selected by Simon Cowell – along with seven other solo artists – and put into a new boyband after initial disappointment as a solo act.

Yesterday, Goss.ie told that the eight piece had been selected by mentor Louis Walsh for the live shows.

Insiders said that Chris stole the show when they performed to Louis and helper Tulisa – and is seen as a young Ronan Keating.

Already Simon hailed the band in Wembley Arena when he put them together and said they were “one of the best bands they’ve ever had on the show.”
