Prince William graces cover of gay magazine Attitude

Prince William has graced the front cover of gay magazine Attitude, to raise awareness about LGBT bullying.

The magazine cover was unveiled just days after the tragic shooting that took place in Orlando, where 49 lives were lost after a gunman opened fire in a gay bar.

“No one should be bullied for their sexuality or any other reason and no one should have to put up with the kind of hate that these young people have endured in their lives,” he admitted.

The Prince is the first royal ever to appear in the magazine.

“The young gay, lesbian and transgender individuals I met through Attitude are truly brave to speak out and to give hope to people who are going through terrible bullying right now,” the Duke of Cambridge revealed to Attitude.

“Their sense of strength and optimism should give us all encouragement to stand up to bullying wherever we see it.”

The 33-year-old’s late mother, Princess Diana was a passionate LGBT campaigner and one of the leading voices in the late 80s and 90s in raising awareness about HIV/AIDs.

He added, “You should be proud of the person you are and you have nothing to be ashamed of.”
