The new Spice Girls song has leaked – and people have very mixed feelings about it.
Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Mel B were the only members of the group to reform to create new music as Mel C works on her solo career and Victoria Beckham focuses on her fashion line.
The new tune, Song For Her, is a fun girl power anthem that shows that the girls are still about empowering women but have dived into the modern world of music.
The song’s lyrics are reminiscent of the band’s original music featuring lyrics like “This is a Song for Her/You know you light it up/You know who you are/Stand up, stand up/She’s got that boom boom pop/That’s something they can’t stop.”
When it was announced that the girls would be reuniting, Emma, Geri and Mel said that they would be called GEM – but now Mel B has revealed that they will still be called the Spice Girls.
“That’s the name of our website. We’re always going to be Spice Girls. I think people are getting it a bit confused with GEM,” she clarified on Access Hollywood Live.
Nonetheless, many people adore the new song and are rejoicing at the band return.

But of course, there are many out there who aren’t such massive fans of the song.
People online hit out at the trio for making a Spice Girls song without Victoria or Mel C while others were underwhelmed by their modern sound.
