Matt LeBlanc: ‘As a child I’d steer my grandad’s car so he could drink’

Matt LeBlanc admitted he learned to drive when his drunken grandad let him steer as a child.

The Friends star revealed he used to sit on his grandfather’s lap in their station wagon while on a family camping trip.

“I made it easier for him to drink his beer,” he told The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“He would do the pedals, I would steer and he would chuck them down.

“The longer the trip the more dangerous it would get – we would come into the campsite sideways.”

Meanwhile, the BBC star challenged James to race around his TV studio on tiny scooters.
