Mariah Carey became close with one of her dancers amid problems with her, now ex, fiancé James Packer.
According to E! News, the songstress found comfort in the arms of another man as James was “not right in the mind for months”.
“James was not in the right mind for months. Mariah was in essence an abandoned woman.
“While in Vegas, she turned to and developed a close relationship with Brian Tanaka,” a source said.

News of Mariah and James’ split broke yesterday, and sources have since claimed that the Australian businessman’s mental state and behaviour caused Mariah to call it quits.
“James is not in a mentally healthy place right now and he has not been present for her,” an insider told E! News.
“Unfortunately, his absence and behavior was not a good situation for her, so she had to leave him.”
Meanwhile, a rep for James responded to the claims by saying, “This is simply untrue.”
