Margot Robbie signs deal to produce and star in Harley Quinn spin-off

Margot Robbie has reportedly signed a deal with Warner Bros. to executive produce a Harley Quinn spin-off film.

Following the Australian beauty’s success playing Harley Quinn in DC Comics Suicide Squad, Margot has been gifted the rights to her very own film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the blonde beauty signed a ‘first-look’ deal with Warner Bros., allowing them the rights to develop and produce films through her LuckyChap Entertainment banner.

Not only will she co-produce and star in a Harley Quinn spin-off, but she’s also agreed to star in an adaptation of Dean N. Jensen’s Queen of the Air.

Warner Bros. have been driving their focus toward female-lead films as of late, including the upcoming Wonder Woman film.

Margot’s production company includes colleagues Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr, who are currently working on thriller Terminal,  I, Tonya, and an adaptation of Bad Monkeys.

We wonder if Jared Leto will be in board to star as The Joker?!
