Model Holly Carpenter has said she is ‘heartbroken’ after the death of Joan Rivers.
The former Miss Ireland was one of the only Irish celebs to meet the Fashion Police host, during her trip to Dublin in 2012.
Joan was here touring with her stand up show, when Holly got to meet her on her 21st birthday.
“Genuinely heartbroken over Joan Rivers. I loved her so much,” she said.

“I was so star-struck I couldn’t believe it was actually her. She told me I was pretty and that
she loved my coat.”
“Then she said ‘Happy birthday’ and gave me a paper party hat which I still have and adore,” she told the Herald.
Holly said she feels privileged to have met the Hollywood star.

“She said what everyone was thinking and never took herself too seriously. The world needs more people with that attitude.”
Joan, 81, died in New York this Thursday, days after being in the ICU following a throat surgery where she stopped breathing.
