The 2016 American Music Awards had a host of famous faces performing and accepting awards – and competition was tough.
Our very own Niall Horan performed his debut single on the night and even reunited with his old bandmate Zayn Malik who took home New Artist Of The Year.
The biggest award of the night was Artist Of The Year, and Ariana Grande took home the top prize beating Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Drake.

Another huge win was Justin Bieber who took home Video Of The Year for his hit song Sorry – and the Canadian also won Male Artist Of The Year.
Recently split couple Drake and Rihanna also had a big win together for Favourite R&B Song with their hit Work and they each took home over three awards on the night.
