Elton John set to announce retirement

'He has seen and done it all'

Elton John is rumoured to announce his retirement next year.

The musician first started his career in 1963 and has created some of the world’s most loved songs like Rocket Man, Candle In The Wind and Can You Feel The Love Tonight, which was used in the 1994 The Lion King.

“Elton has seen and done it all, and has nothing left to prove,” a source said.

Done it all: Elton will supposedly retire next year to spend more time with family | VIPIRELAND.COM

Elton has sold 260million records, won five Grammys, an Oscar, 11 Ivor Novellos and has played more than 3,000 gigs.

Yet, as his 70th birthday approaches and he’s about to celebrate a 50 year songwriting partnership with Bernie Taupin, the Daily Mail claims that the singer will hang up his mic in 2017.

The 69-year-old supposedly was going to retire in 2018 but he apparently brought the date forward after disappointing recent chart performances, and so he can spend more time with his young family.

Fortunately, Ireland will be honoured next year with his presence as he’s set to perform in June next year.
