There is a possible Downton Abbey film in the works.

The final episode aired on ITV on the 25th of December 2015 for the show’s Christmas special – and now one of the stars has admitted that the cast have been asked to keep dates free.

“We’ve been asked to keep ourselves available for dates in the future,” Jim Carter said, who played Mr. Carson.

However, Jim revealed that he has not yet seen a script for the film.

“But nobody has seen a script,” he said on Good Morning Britain.

When the actor was probed for more information, he explained that he didn’t know anything else.

“We don’t know. We haven’t seen a script, but there’s a willingness to do a film.

“I am sure it will emerge,” he added.
