Daisy Lowe has been announced as the eighth contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
The dance contest will also feature Irish presenter Laura Whitmore, former Hollyoaks star Danny Mac, ex-Eternal member Louise Redknapp, ex-shadow chancellor Ed Balls, singer Will Young, Kiss FM DJ Melvin Odoom and sports broadcaster Ore Oduba.
“My family and friends and I adore Strictly, so when the chance came up to take part – I jumped at it!” she admitted.

The model is excited to get started on the show even though it’s nothing like she’s done before.
“I am used to being on the catwalk and campaigns of major fashion brands with lots of eyes on me but this is completely different from anything I have ever done before!” the 27-year-old revealed in a press release.
“I am itching to get started and am so looking forward to learning a new skill.”
