Lacey Chabert has admitted that she’s up for a Mean Girls sequel.
The actress’ co-stars from the film, Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, have already teased fans with the hopes of a sequel – and now, it looks like Gretchen Wieners is hoping on the band wagon.
“I absolute would be [up for a Mean Girls sequel],” she said.

The American played Gretchen Wieners, one third of the infamous Plastics and whose father invented the toaster strudel.
“Not only was it so much fun to film and be a part of but people are still talking about it now,” she told Access Hollywood Live.
“The characters are so loved from the film that I think it would be so much fun to revisit them.”

There is just one key element that Lacey would want to have the perfect sequel – to have all the original cast and crew involved.
“It would have to be everyone involved. Tina [Fey] would have to write it – no one can write it like she can.
“Mark Waters would have to direct it. I think they would have to have the whole cast. If they could, that would be amazing,” she added.
The mother-of-one also said she knows nothing about the upcoming Mean Girls musical but she’s “just as curious as you are.”
