According to The Sun, Jeremy Kyle was requested to attend a panel but has allegedly refused.

This comes following the death of guest Steve Dymond, following an appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show, which was cancelled as a result.

Today’s enquiry will look at whether or not reality TV puts unfair pressure on show participants, causing them to act in extreme ways in which normally, they would not.

It will also decide if production companies have a duty of care to participants, or if it will be regulated by the government.

Islanders will appear before the ‘Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee’ to discuss representations of race, gender and body image.

Later today, former Jeremy Kyle guests Dwayne Davison and Robert Gregory will speak to the panel.

Both contestants have publically said that their appearance on the show has had a negative impact on their lives.
