Punters appear to be convinced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will name their royal baby Ivy, after a run of bets on the name today.
The name wasn’t even betting on Friday morning, but Paddy Power added it to the market at 16/1 last night, and it now stands as the favourite at 2/1.
Ivy now leads the betting by some distance, ahead of Diana (11/2), Allegra (6/1) and Grace (7/1).
Paddy Power also make it odds-on (1/3) that the baby is a girl.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “Punters have often led the way with intel on Harry and Meghan, from their engagement to pregnancy. And now, it appears, choice of baby name.”
“Ivy wasn’t remotely in contention until Friday evening and, since then, it’s emerged as the clear favourite after a substantial run of bets.”
As of now, it’s believed Meghan and Harry are still awaiting the birth of their baby – and the Duchess is about a week overdue.
