Laura Simpson appeared on ITV’s This Morning today, and was grilled about her wild night with Wayne Rooney – which ended in him being arrested for drink-driving.
In a car-crash interview, the party girl attempted to justify her actions to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield – and slammed the footballer by saying, “I wouldn’t do that to my partner.”
Holly asked, “And if you were her [Coleen Rooney], as you’re really the only person and him, who knows what went on – would you forgive and forget?”
“I don’t think he deserves, well, it’s my opinion, I wouldn’t do that to my partner,” Laura replied.
Laura also denied kissing the footballer, despite previously telling The Sun that they shared a “kiss and a cuddle”.
After insisting that she did “nothing wrong”, Holly and Philip pressed, “You got in a car with a married man”.
The 29-year-old also spoke about the phone call she had with Wayne’s wife Coleen, and said, “I basically asked her to give me a call and I told her everything that I told you – nothing happened.”
“I do regret the damage it’s causing obviously but from a level from me I don’t think I deserve everything that I’m getting.”
Coleen, who is expecting the couple’s fourth child, was on holiday in Majorca with their kids when the incident took place.
The mum-of-three has since been spotted without her wedding rings, amid reports that she’s considering divorcing the footballer.
Wayne is due to appear in court on September 18.
