Vicky Pattison shares heartbreaking post about late friend – who died after taking ‘high dose’ of MDMA

The reality star's friend Paul Burns passed away over the summer

Vicky Pattison has penned a heartbreaking tribute to her friend Paul Burns, who died after taking a high dose of MDMA.

Last Friday, an inquest heard that Paul Burns died on June 2, after collapsing following a night out with Vicky and friends.

The toxicology report found high levels of MDMA, also known as ecstasy, in his system – and authorities ruled his death as “drug related”.

Following this, Vicky took to Instagram to pay tribute to her friend, writing, “I think the hardest part of losing someone, isn’t having to say goodbye- but rather learning to live without them.”

“Always trying to fill the void, the emptiness that’s left inside your heart when they go. Christmas is a hard a time of year for anyone who has lost someone- their absence feels like a physical pain, an ache that will never go away.

“I just wanted to take this opportunity to say @mrpaulburns1 I love you so much!!! And me and the girls, and so many more people, miss you everyday and will never stop thinking of you!!! RIP My love I’m lost entirely without you,” she added.

According to the MailOnline, an inquest into Paul’s death heard that he was found “lying unresponsive on the pavement” in the early hours of June 2.

Paramedics attended the scenes and tried to resuscitate him, but they were unsuccessful.

Coroner Karen Dilks said a post-mortem examination showed no obvious signs of natural disease, but a toxicology report confirmed the presence of MDMA in his system.

The coroner explained that the concentration of the drug was “high in relation to the typical concentration in recreational users.”

Ms Dilks said: “Given the evidence I have heard today it’s clear Paul Burns had no natural disease that could explain his death – the only significant finding was that of the toxicological findings of the level of MDMA. The conclusion I must report is that it was a drug related death.”
