Vicky Pattison ‘drowning in pain and grief’ following sudden death of her best friend

The reality star's friend died at the age of 37

Vicky Pattison feels like she’s “drowning” in her own pain and grief, following the sudden death of her best friend Paul Burns on Saturday.

The nightclub owner died at the age 37, just hours after he was out celebrating his birthday with Vicky in Newcastle.

Taking to Instagram, Vicky shared a series of photos she had taken with Paul, alongside the caption, “Grief is like an ocean, it comes in waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”

“That’s how I feel now – overwhelmed and like I’m drowning in my own pain and grief. I’m not ready to accept the fact that we won’t laugh together again.”

“I am not ready to believe you’re gone. The injustice of all of this is too much to bear and there’s nothing I wouldn’t give to be able to hear your voice again.

“We may have loved you Paul, but God loved you a lot more. I will think of you everyday my friend,” she added.

The cause of Paul’s death is unknown at this time.
