Tom Hardy has been busy on set filming a biopic, titled Fonzo, about famous American gangster Al Capone.

For over a month now, the 40 year old has been teasing fans with pictures of himself in character.

The movie follows the mobster’s struggle with dementia after 10 years in prison and his descent into insanity.

Tom is famous for the dark intensity he brings to roles, and this one will likely be no different.

The Batman villain has been sharing close up pics, likely from the makeup department on set.

He’s nearly unrecognizable in makeup with scars on his face and messy wigs.

The biopic does not yet have a release date.

Tom has been busy on set in New Orleans, but he did have time to respond to an April Fools joke.

It was falsely announced that Daniel Craig was stepping down from his role as James Bond in Bond 25, that’s set to be released in 2019, and Tom was tipped to replace him.

He responded via Instagram by posting a screenshot of the news story and captioned it “Dammit I was in my tux and on the runway Gtg â™ ????????????????????????… no drama ???????? RTB ????????????????????headed back to NOLA stood down 19.”

Tom has been a popular choice as a replacement for 007, but he has avoided displaying his interest for fear of being blacklisted.
