T2 Trainspotting actor Bradley Welsh dies after ‘Edinburgh shooting’

T2 Trainspotting actor, Bradley Welsh has died after a shooting in Edinburgh.

The former boxer was shot on Wednesday night and police were called to the scene at 8PM.

In a statement by Police Scotland they said his death is being treated as suspicious: “His death is being treated as suspicious and inquiries are continuing. Officers will continue to provide a high-visibility presence in the area to engage with the public, offer reassurance and gather information that can assist with this investigation.”

Bradley starred as Mr. Doyle in T2 Trainspotting in 2017, alongside Ewan McGregor and Ewen Bremner.

The actor also appeared in Danny Dyer’s Deadliest Men over ten years ago.

Trainspotting writer, Irvine Welsh paid tribute to Bradley on Twitter and wrote: “Bradley John Welsh, my heart is broken. Goodbye my amazing and beautiful friend. Thanks for making me a better person and helping me to see the world in a kinder and wiser way.”
