Strictly Come Dancing will FINALLY allow same-sex couples in 2020 series

Strictly Come Dancing bosses have finally agreed to allow same-sex couples on the show.

Producers have reportedly said dance partners of the same sex will be allowed compete in the BBC series in 2020.

A BBC source has said that while there will be no difference in this season, bosses are considering the change for the next series.

“Bosses have said while there aren’t any same sex pairings in this series, they’d definitely be open to it, given the right combination of celebs and dancers.

“The show’s always been inclusive and reflects modern Britain.

“Having previously thought it was unnecessary, it has dawned on people at the BBC that the original British show looks a bit backwards in not having embraced the notion of a same-sex couple.’

In 2018 the show aired their first-ever same-sex dance routine, and it went down a treat with viewers.

The new season starts this Sunday on BBC One.
