Spencer Matthews has responded to criticism over his television presenting debut.
The reality star appeared on Good Morning Britain as their stand-in showbiz correspondent, but some fans were not impressed.
The former Made In Chelsea star took to Instagram to apologise for his presenting debut and wrote: “Such a huge amount of respect for people who regularly present live television – it’s a skill and it’s not easy.”
“Had my first go this morning on @gmb and it’s safe to say that it didn’t go so well.. Apologies for my lack of experience and wooden performance. I’ll loosen up and get better with time, hopefully!”
Despite Spencer acknowledging how tough the job is and how he hopes to improve, viewers voiced their opinions online.
One Twitter user wrote: “Jesus Christ! I guess we know who will never get another presenting job #spencermatthews #GMB #cringe.”
Meanwhile, others congratulated the reality star on his presenting debut and encouraged him to keep working: “@SpencerMatthews well done on GMB this morning????????…Presenting suits you ????just watch the nerves xx”
