Simon Cowell has revealed that he was “put in situations'” when he was younger, as he weighed in on the sex scandals that have been plaguing the entertainment industry.

The X Factor judge addressed the allegations of sexual abuse and harassment against some of the industry’s biggest names – including disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein, and actor Kevin Spacey.

Speaking to The Sun at the Music Industry Trusts Awards, Simon said, “Look, I have grown up in the music business.”

“Even as a kid I was put in situations when I was first working you know, it’s not a very nice business.”

A number of high-profile stars have come forward with their own stories of sexual abuse and harassment within the industry, and now Simon hopes that this will lead to change.

“Well, I do (think there will be change) actually to be honest with you,” he said.

“People get what they deserve. That’s all I’m going to say.”
