Prince William and Kate Middleton have been spotted on a budget flight, days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came under fire for using private jets.

The future King and Queen joined the public onboard a 44-seater Flybe jet from Norwich to Aberdeen, alongside their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

A passenger filmed the Duke of Cambridge carrying two suitcases as he walked off the plane with George and Charlotte.

Meanwhile Kate, who was holding one-year-old Louis, could be seen behind them walking with their nanny Maria Borrallo.

It’s believed the family were on route to Balmoral Castle, to visit the Queen and Prince Philip.

An eyewitness said: “There were more than 40 passengers on the plane. I was travelling on my own, and sat far enough back not to see them at the very front of the plane with their security.”

“I tried to use the bathroom at the front, but cabin crew told me to use the loo at the back instead, as the other was ‘out of use’. We landed, and people saw two black Range Rovers on the tarmac.

“Suddenly, Wills, Kate and the kids all got up and left. I quickly got my phone out and started filming so I could show my wife,” they told The Sun.

“They weren’t harassed by anyone at all as they got off the plane. They just seemed like any family travelling together to be honest.

“No one saw them get on the plane either. It was amazing how they did it — they must have slipped on quietly after people were already seated. I couldn’t believe my eyes. You don’t expect to see royalty on a budget airliner,” they added.

The news comes just days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came under fire for taking a private jet on a recent trip to France.

Royal critics slammed the pair for using a private jet, as they have both spoken out about climate change and protecting our environment.

However, the pair’s close friend Elton John later revealed that they flew on his own private jet – and he made sure their flight was carbon neutral by making an “appropriate contribution” to Carbon Footprint™.
