Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted trying to remain incognito on an economy flight to Nice, according to reports.

The Mail Online has reported that the royal couple flew out of Heathrow on New Year’s Eve on a scheduled British Airways flight to Nice.

In an attempt to remain incognito, Harry and Meghan boarded the flight before any other passengers, and were seated at the back of the plane, next to the rear toilets.

Sources say the pair took up three rows of economy seats, either side of the aisle, and they were joined by three “edgy and nervous” bodyguards.

Prince Harry disguised himself by wearing a baseball cap pulled over his face, while Meghan was dressed down in a black beanie hat.

After they disembarked the flight in Nice, the pair were escorted by two heavily armed officers from the French border police to the VIP area.

It’s been reported that Harry and Meghan jetted to the French Riviera to celebrate the New Year with friends at a private residence.

The couple are set to wed on May 19 at Windsor Castle.
