PICS: All the style from the BAFTAs red carpet

The BAFTA Television Awards took place in London last night, and plenty of stars turned out on the red carpet.

Some of TV’s biggest stars striked a pose for the cameras before the ceremony, which was held at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Despite nabbing five nominations this year, Netflix series The Crown failed to pick up any awards on the night – but the show’s stars did manage to impress in the styles stakes.

Claire Foy, who plays Queen Elizabeth in the series, turned heads in a black Fendi number.

Another star who seriously impressed on the red carpet was the always stunning Holly Willoughby.

The This Morning host wore a gorgeous teal blue Roland Mouret gown.

The presenter oozed old Hollywood glamour as strutted her stuff on the red carpet.

Of course, our very own Laura Whitmore also caught our eye on the red carpet.

The Bray native turned heads in a SAFiYAA gown, which she paired with Carat London jewellery and Louboutin heels.

The blonde beauty kept her makeup minimal and her hair in a plaited up-do as she posed for snaps ahead of the ceremony.

Benedict Cumberbatch was definitely one of the biggest stars on the red carpet last night.

The actor looked suave in a simple black suit as he stopped for selfies with fans.

Flame-haired star Eleanor Tomlinson looked sensational at the BAFTAs last night.

The Poldark star wore a plunging sheer embellished dress from Naeem Khan.

The actress paired the look with natural makeup, and a tousled fish tail braid.

On the night, American star Cuba Gooding Jr accepted the Best International award for The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story (in which he played OJ Simpson).

The actor got one of the biggest laughs on the night for joking that “the winner is Moonlight” when presenting an award.

Of course, Ant and Dec took home two awards on the night – one for Best Entertainment Programme for Saturday Night Takeaway and also for Best Live TV Event for the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration.

Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley also won the Fellowship Award for her astonishing contribution to British television.
