Molly-Mae Hague SLAMS celebs for ‘trolling’ her as she announces anti-bullying initiative

Molly-Mae Hague has slated fellow celebs for bullying her online, after she faced criticism for her behavior in the Love Island villa.

As a response to the trolling she faces on social media, the star is launching an anti-trolling campaign which aims to showcase the realities of her work as an influencer.

The Love Islander explained that she was taken aback when leaving the villa after discovering that not only were regular viewers accusing her of being “fake,” but celebs too:

Instagram

“One thing I was really shocked about when I came out was a lot of celebrities that I looked up to and really loved, I’d go back on their accounts to see what they’d been saying and a lot had been joining in on the trolling and negativity against me,” she told The Mirror.

While she didn’t name names, she said: “Like a Victoria’s Secret model who I’d adored for ages joining in on it and it was so hard to see.”

“There were a lot of celebrities encouraging negativity.”

The Love Island finalist was shocked by the trolling, especially as it came from those who understand the pressures of fame.

“You’d think they’d understand better than anyone else, you just wouldn’t think that would be a thing, you’d think celebrities would understand what it feels like.”

The PrettyLittleThing ambassador described how her sister warned her about her public image before returning her mobile phone to her after she left the show.

“I was petrified to get my phone back because I knew people had been saying I was fake and accusing me of just wanting the money and my sister had kind of given me a heads up when she came in that it was pretty bad.”

However, she told the publication that she has a “thick skin” and doesn’t let the bullying impact her.
