Mel B has revealed the one thing she insists her potential sexual partners do before having sex.
Speaking on her podcast Truth Flirts, the 44-year-old revealed that if she sees a date “heading down that area”, she will ask them to go for an STI check with her.
“I do think it’s important to have that conversation before you have sex with them. I’ve done it,” she told guests Alix Fox and James Locke.
“You’d be surprised if it’s just part of the conversation how willing and able that conversation’s outcome ends up being.”
“I’ve been out on the however-many date, and I can see it’s heading down that area, and I’ve gone, ‘Let’s go to the clinic together and get it done’.”
“I’m single, I always have condoms in my bag,” she revealed.
“Not in my immediate backpack but I will have them if I know I’m going to be going somewhere.”
The mother also spoke candidly about teaching her children about sex, namely her 20-year-old daughter Phoenix.
“In the beginning, it was really awkward but I just thought there’s no better way to do it than for you to hear it from me,” she said.
“So our relationship got really really close, to a point where she would then come to me when she started dating guys. It’s all about communication.”
Mel has two other daughters, 12-year-old Angel Iris Murphy Brown, and 8-year-old Madison Brown Belefonte.
