Mel B has been involved in one scandal after another in recent months, and she’s now signed a book deal to tell her side of the story.
The pop star endured a painfully public and messy divorce from Stephen Belafonte.
The legal battle between the couple was complicated by accusations of the producer abusing both Mel and their children.
“I have kept silent for a decade, but after a very public court case, I want to set the record straight… This book will show that abuse can happen to anyone,” the singer said in a statement.
Andrea, Mel B’s mother, tweeted images of a note that detailed the abusive behavior of Stephen. The daughter that wrote the note, Angel, is Mel’s daughter with Eddie Murphy.

Stephen has denied all accusations of abuse and has claimed that he raised Angel as if she was his own daughter.
The couple finally divorced in December after a seven month legal battle, but have continued to argue over child custody.
Mel B also made headlines recently when emails from her family were leaked that showed the pop star’s mother and sister calling her selfish and liar and accusing her of refusing to visit her dying father.
The book will reportedly be released in November of 2018.
