Meghan Markle rushed through Fiji market due to security scare

Meghan Markle was rushed through a Fiji market due to a security scare on Wednesday.

The Duchess of Sussex was taking her time as she greeted a street vendor and fans within the indoor market, but it soon turned out to be a dangerous situation as the market got overcrowded and security became worried about Meghan’s safety.

The royal was quickly rushed out of the market by her security team after spending just six minutes there.

“It was hot, humid and uncomfortably busy and there were far larger crowds than expected. She met everyone she was meant to meet and left,” a royal aide told The Daily Mail.

“There would have been a lot of people who would have been keen to meet her but she did met those who had hoped to. On advice she was taken out due to crowd management issue.”

The security concerns came on the royals’ ninth day of their tour and the couple are set to return to the U.K. at the end of the month.
