Meghan Markle didn’t speak to her father Thomas Markle on her wedding day, according to reports.
Thomas Markle, 73, caused a media frenzy last week when he confirmed that he would not walk his daughter down the aisle, but sent his well wishes to the couple.
Meghan’s father suffered a heart attack and his health scare prevented him from travelling to London.
She was instead walked down the aisle by her now father-in-law Prince Charles.
According to Us Weekly, Thomas sent a text to his daughter on the day of her wedding congratulating her.
Despite not contacting her father on her wedding day, it is believed that Meghan and Prince Harry will travel to Mexico in the next few months to visit him.
He continued saying, “My baby girl is a Duchess and I love her so much.”
A family source has told The Sun, “Thomas has told other family members he hopes and expects Meghan and Harry to come to see him.”
Thousands flocked to Windsor to take part in the wedding celebrations, including Meghan’s uninvited family.
The only family member of Meghan’s who was formally invited to the wedding was Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
