It turns out Meghan Markle didn’t give birth at Frogmore Cottage after all.

Although the Duchess had hoped for a home birth, Meghan’s dreams were dashed due to her being a week overdue.

According to the Daily Mail, the former actress was secretly escorted to the luxurious Portland Hospital in London on Sunday night – and she gave birth in the early hours of Monday morning.

The hospital offers five-star hotel service for new mums, and boasts 36 private rooms.

According to The Sun, suites can cost up to £1,800, and the hospital is a favourite amongst a-list celebs – including Victoria Beckham.

Their baby boy was born at 5.26am on Monday morning, and Prince Harry was by her side.

Although the couple kept their birthing plan a secret, Harry addressed the press outside their home in Windsor a few hours after Meghan gave birth – and confirmed their baby’s arrival.
