Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have received an apology from a tabloid newspaper, over claims they made about an alleged parking ban in Windsor.

Back in April, The Sun reported that royal staff in Windsor were allegedly banned from using a carpark because it overlooked Frogmore Cottage – where Meghan and Harry live.

According to the Press Gazette, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex lodged a complaint with the Independent Press Standards Organisation over the story’s inaccuracy.

The Sun have since published an apology on their website, which reads: “An article headlined ‘NOT IN MEG BACK YARD’ (12 April) reported that the Duke & Duchess of Sussex had banned staff from using a car park near Frogmore Cottage.”

“We now accept that the parking changes were not requested by the Duke & Duchess. We are happy to correct the record and apologize for any distress caused.”
