Megan Barton-Hanson goes nude for body positive and diverse campaign

Love Island alum Megan Barton Hanson has stripped down for a body positive tanning campaign.

The shots, for tan brand Isle of Paradise, feature a number of models of different and diverse body types.

Megan posed alongside plus-size model Tess Holliday for the campaign.

Also featured were fashion blogger Tess Daly, Podcaster Clemmie Telford, self-love advocate Natalie Lee, model Joseph Lycett Barnes, dancer Danielle Peazer, plus size model Simone Powderly and blogger Alex Light.

Megan has spoken out against body shaming on a number of occasions, after she felt that she was shamed for her past employment as an exotic dancer.

The Isle of Paradise founder and body positivity campaigner Jules Von Hep also stars in the campaign, and opened up about his past struggles and experiences with feeling body shamed.

He detailed how he was called “fat” from a young age, and was impacted by the negative words of other. However, after a life changing incident, he decided to love his body.

“I was the victim of a homophobic attack in a nightclub. I was beaten to the floor by two total strangers and my world fell apart. My skull ached, my body was sore, but worst of all my spirit was broken,” he said in a statement.

“Then, something changed. During my recovery, a friend and life coach told me that if I wanted to survive, I had to feed my happy. ‘I don’t care what it is,’ she told me. ‘If it makes you happy, just do it.’”

Megan Barton-Hanson said of the campaign: “You need a genuine love for yourself and no surgeon or no amount of money can give you that. That comes from you loving you.”

The images from the shoot have been met by praise from the general public, for showing diversity in a beauty campaign.
