Marnie Simpson has hit back at a cruel troll for comparing her to an elephant.

The UK reality star recently revealed that she has put on two stone after filming Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach back-to-back.

The 26-year-old has just returned from a trip to Ayia Napa with boyfriend Casey Johnson, where she was papped enjoying a milkshake.

However, a cruel Twitter user decided to share the image on social media alongside an image of an elephant, writing, “Its uncanny @marnie about time you laid off the milkshakes!???”

Defending herself, Marnie quickly snapped back by tweeting, “Disgusting sorry I was trying to enjoy my holiday. I’m hardly an elephant I’m a healthy size 12! Grow up!”

While many fans showed support for Marnie, some accused her of putting on weight in order to cash in on a fitness DVD, similar to former Geordie Shore babes Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby.

However, Marnie denied the reports by tweeting, “I’m not doing a fitness dvd ???? I’m not even fat, Jesus if a size 12 now qualifies for a fitness dvd then we’re all fucked.”

She continued, “I’ve gained a little bit of weight of filming Geordie shore please give me a break.”

Model beauty Lottie Moss, who is the sister of famed supermodel Kate Moss, also jumped to Marnie’s defence by tweeting, “Ffs this makes me so angry what’s wrong with people.”

She added, “I’ve gained a bit of weight at the moment but why can’t anyone see that enjoying themselves and eating what they want is fine, everyone seems so obsessed with health and weight at the moment????girl ya look great x.”

Marnie replied, “Thanks so much huni, it’s so frustrating Were just living life to the fullest, and some people are just cruel, your looking ???????????? btw hope your well ♥.”
