Marina Joyce’s boyfriend insists the YouTube star is ‘safe and well’ – after she was reported missing

Fans have grown concerned for the social media star

Marina Joyce’s boyfriend Brandon Mehmed has insisted that she’s “safe and well”, after she was reported missing this week.

On August 9, a missing poster for the YouTube star was released by the Missing People charity on social media.

The poster claimed that Marina went missing from her home town of Haringey, London on 31 July.

However, the 22-year-old’s boyfriend has since addressed the reports on Instagram, and said: “Everything is being dealt with in a professional manner. Please don’t worry about her as she is safe and well (you have my word for that).”

“Also everyone who thinks I’m acting “suspicious” are only misinformed and don’t know me at alllll. Goodnight people.”

In the caption, Brandon added: “I was going to leave it but I think too many people want an explanation but this is as much as I can give.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Met Police told Metro.co.uk: “Marina Joyce, 22, was reported missing to police on Wednesday, 7 August. It was reported she was last seen on 31 July.”

“Enquiries are underway to try and locate her. Anyone with information is asked to call police in the North Area Command Unit on 101 and quote ref: 19MIS031063.”

After Missing People launched an appeal to help find Marina, the hashtag #FindMarinaJoyce started trending on Twitter.

Haringey’s local police station also tweeted: “Can you help to find Marina Joyce, 22, missing from #Haringey? Last seen on 31Jul and reported missing to police on 7Aug. Call 101 and quote 19MIS031063 with any info.”

The 22-year-old hasn’t posted on YouTube since June 21st.
