Love Island’s Dr. Alex has announced that he is returning to work in A&E.

After a five month break from being a doctor, Alex has revealed that he will be heading back to the A&E department this week.

“Love Island was the experience of a lifetime, but ever since I left the villa I’ve genuinely missed working for the NHS,” the 27-year-old tweeted.

“I trained for years for the opportunity to help people, and I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love ❤️,” the doctor continued.

Following his announcement, the reality star received a huge amount of support from fans, as many congratulated and wished the star well for his return to work.

“Absolutely blown away with the support from everyone ❤️
The love and resounding positivity shown towards the NHS is incredible. We must save it ????,” Alex later tweeted.

The doctor rose to fame during the summer, as many viewers found his awful luck with women hilarious and he quickly became a fan favourite.

Alex’s popularity was short-lived though, as he gained the attention of fellow islander, Alexandra Cane, but shot her down for another woman and later attempted to get back with the makeup artist.
