Love Island’s Callum admits he fancied Yewande before he got the boot

The first contestant to be dumped from the Love Island villa was aeronautical engineer Callum, following his unsuccessful coupling with Amber.

During last night’s Aftersun, Callum was interviewed about his time on the show, and admitted that while he did fancy beautician Amber, there was a certain Irish contestant he would have liked to get to know better.

Talking about the original coupling, he said: “I probably would have picked Amy or Anna.”

“But on the last day, as I was getting to know her better, Yewande.”

“When she came out in the little black dress, I was like hmm.”

He went on to say that he found her “so interesting,” and that while they did not have that initial attraction to one another, he thinks they could have been a “slow-burner.”

He feels that something would have happened between them if he had another week or two in the villa.

Sadly for Callum, it was a case of too little, too late as he lost his place on the island after new boys Curtis and Tommy arrived and each coupled up with various girls.

Amber ultimately coupled up with Anton, after she and Callum failed to create a spark.

Lucie had to make a choice between Joe and Tommy, choosing to couple up with Joe.

Tommy then coupled up with Molly-Mae, after she chose him over Callum.
