The show has come under fire in the past for it’s lack of body diversity and representation.

“I don’t think they’ve never had a Middle Eastern girl before, so I’ve got that bit of Middle Eastern spice,” she told The Mail Online.

“I’m a bit curvier as well than some of the girls that have been on before, so I’m repping it for the curvy girls too.”

The show has already had it’s share of critics regarding body representation before it has even begun.

Jameela Jamil took to Twitter to express how she feels regarding the range of body types.

“The producers of Love Island think this slim woman counts as their new token ‘plus size’ contestant? Are they drunk,” she tweeted.

Speaking to The UK Sun, Caroline Flack defended the show.

“I wonder if she’s actually watched it, because it isn’t about what you see on face value,” she said.
