Love Island star Hayley Hughes’ father was a ‘notorious criminal’

The reality star's father was jailed for running over his partner in the street

The father of Love Island star Hayley Hughes was a notorious criminal, it has been revealed.

The Daily Star has reported that Hayley’s dad, Carl Wooding, violently attacked several women and dealt cannabis on the streets.

When the reality star was just a child, her mum Nicola allegedly fled from the flat they shared in Fairfield, Liverpool, after a domestic incident.

Carl was later jailed for 20 months for running over his partner at the time in 2012.

His convictions included two domestic assaults, dangerous driving, possession of cannabis and threatening hospital staff.

It’s unknown if Hayley kept in touch with her dad, but he died on Mother’s Day in March at the age of 42.

Hayley was recently dumped from ITV2’s Love Island, as she failed to find love with her partner Charlie Frederik, who was also dumped from the villa.
