2018 Love Island star Samira Mighty has spoken out against the ‘toxic’ and ‘catty’ atmosphere in this year’s villa.

Sharing her opinion on this year’s show, Samira described being shocked at some of the cast’s behavior.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1’s The Reality Tea Podcast Samira said: “I wouldn’t want to be in there. It’s too much.”

I wouldn’t know who to trust,” she continued.

“I wouldn’t know who to be friends with, I wouldn’t know who to have a love interest with… Like it seems really like toxic in there.”

Samira described some of the female contestants behavior as “catty”.

“We all had like really good friendships,” Samira said of the cast during her season. “Even if someone didn’t really get along with them, they were still quite good friends with them. I feel like this year, the girls are so catty…”

“Even from the start, I was like ‘Oh my gosh’. Like leaving people out. In there, it’s so, like you can feel so alone,” she said.

“You’re just there, in a place you can’t really hide, you can’t be on your own really. And I think you need friends in there and I don’t know if they are really true friends.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm.
