Love Island bosses headhunted series four contestants on Tinder

Love Island is just about back on our screens and this year the producers went above and beyond to find the perfect contestants.

150,000 people applied for a chance to have an eight week stint in the Majorcan villa but despite the huge number of applications bosses for the show still scouted elsewhere to get the most entertaining mix of people to put on our screens.

Producers for the show turned to Tinder to scout some of the contestants for series four!

Angela Jain is a Love Island series producer and told Celebs Now what they don’t want in a contestant, “We don’t want to cast the same characters every time. We aren’t looking for the next Camilla or the next Montana, that’s the opposite of what we’re looking for.”

The new series premieres on ITV2 on the 4th of June at 9.00pm so if any of your Tinder dates ghost you in the meantime it might be worth tuning in to see if they got scouted over to Spain.
