Lisa Armstrong confirms Britain’s Got Talent departure as she gains support from the public

Lisa Armstrong has confirmed that she won’t be returning as a makeup artist for Britain’s Got Talent, as she has gained support from the public.

The 42-year-old worked on the talent show for over ten years, before it was revealed earlier today that she wasn’t asked to come for the upcoming series.

According to reports, ITV bosses were worried that her tense relationship with Ant McPartlin would interfere with the show, as he is set to make a return to his co-hosting duties next month.

The couple split earlier this year and were granted a divorce in October; but it’s clear that the pair are not on good terms as Lisa has previously publicly hit out at Ant and his girlfriend, Anne-Marie Corbett, on social media.

Lisa has now taken to Twitter to show the support she has received from the public, as she retweeted messages from fans and friends, such as: “Lisa, I have just read the news about you being AXED, I feel for you. You have support out here. XXX”

“Thanks Hun x,” the makeup artist said.

The 42-year-old also retweeted a message which slammed Ant for her job loss: “How unjust, any decent bloke would of said he wouldn’t want your career to be compromised, there’s bigger and better things for you lovely!!!”

“Thanks Em, not really sure what else to say,” Lisa responded.

The makeup artist has also liked a number of tweets which have slammed BGT bosses for axing her from the show.
