Liam Payne praises Cheryl amid split rumours

Liam Payne has publicly praised Cheryl, amid reports that the couple are set to split.

The 34-year-old opened her Prince’s Trust centre in Newcastle yesterday morning, and when reporters questioned her about her relationship with Liam, Cheryl declared “none of that matters”.

After opening the centre, Cheryl posted about it on Instagram, and her partner Liam commented underneath it.

“Very proud of you!” Liam wrote, before adding, “How you find the time to do this I’ll never know.”

“Over many years you’ve put all this together and put your heart into such a great cause! I hope one day I can do the same,” he added.

During an interview on BBC Breakfast, Cheryl was asked whether it was frustrating to see stories about her private life, and she replied, “No, it doesn’t bother me at all because my focus is solely on this.”

“I’ve waited for seven years to finally be here and none of that matters. This is the most important part for me.”

Over the weekend, The Sun on Sunday reported that Cheryl and Liam, who welcomed their first child Bear last year, were headed for splitsville.
